The Tarpon Springs Historical Society was founded in 1967 to preserve and present the history of the community. It is located in the Depot Museum on Tarpon Avenue next to the Pinellas Trail. The Society holds meetings on the third Thursday of the month September-May at 7 PM and sponsors special events throughout the year, such as a tour of historic homes, a cemetery tour, and an annual Remembrance Tea. The Society publishes a monthly newsletter that is sent to all members.
